Our Enhanced Eye Health Examination includes a 3D-OCT Retinal Scan which represents the most significant step forward to date in primary eye care.
This new type of examination, similar to an ultrasound or MRI scan, enables us to see beneath the surface of the back of your eye so that we can detect the earliest possible signs of sight threatening diseases such as macular degeneration and glaucoma.
We recommend that all adults have an initial Enhanced Eye Health Examination but the frequency of future examinations will depend on many factors and your Optometrist can advise you what is best in your situation after your first examination.
For those aged over 40 with a family history of eye disease or increased risk factors and for all those aged over 60 we would strongly recommend an Enhanced Eye Health Examination at each visit.
Our Enhanced Eye Health Examination costs £75 (£55 for Students or under 25’s) or £35 for those entitled to NHS sight tests.
